Star Wars Wannabes

Another Sunday night "fun" activity. This one wasn't that
extravagant but as you can see the boys had a lot of fun
showing their great Star Wars moves. I really was enjoying
myself also, even though it does not look like it. The video
was taken 30 minutes after the beginning of the show.
These boys are hilarious!

Pettis, "We Miss You" (Jan. '98 - Mar. '09)

This is the saddest thing I've ever had to blog about. This is Pettis's last day with us as a family. He has been in a lot of pain for quite some time but the last few weeks was getting worse. Elan has had to carry him up the stairs because it was to hard to run up. He also began to cry in the garage so that we would open the door to let him in. He was unable to make it through the doggy door. This particular morning I was busy talking to a neighbor and their 18 month old daughter was over by Pettis. I assume she crawled on his hips and this made him react. The baby is fine but this made us realize that this is not a safe situation any longer. We were forced to make the hardest decision we have ever made. So, we had 4 more great hours together.
Elan came home from work and we pulled Adarius out of pre-school so we could take Pettis up to the mountains on his favorite hike. He got to run up and down the hills and through the trees. He even managed to find himself a few mud puddles. I normally would be thinking about what a mess this is going to be but today it didn't matter. It was great to see him enjoy himself. I know he loved every minute of it! We did too! We chose not to tell Adarius until after the hike. This was sooooo hard for us. His little heart was broken. He just didn't quite understand.
Lots and lots of family pictures were taken with Pettis! We will never forget you and you will remain in our hearts forever!! You were such a sweet, loving, and funny dog. We love you Pettis!!!
Saying goodbye to Zoe!

Disney on Ice

Another Sunday night activity. We went to Disney on Ice with Lion King, Peter Pan, Lilo and Stitch and Little Mermaid. We thought this was a new activity but unfortunately we went to the same one 2 years ago. It was fine though cause Adarius didn't remember- to bad the parents did. The boys enjoyed it a lot! Adarius was so cute because he was so in to it and didn't look away once. Tavain couldn't get enough of waving to all of the characters. The look on there faces when they saw Mickey and friends were worth every penny of the $30.00 popcorn and $25.00 swords. WHAT A RIP!! haha

Conversations I don't want to EVER forget!!

It was at bedtime and Tavian was crying for daddy to come in his room and the conversation went like this:

Tavian- "I scarred."
Daddy- "No you are not."
Tavain- "Yes I scared."
Daddy- "Of what??"
Tavian- "Dinosaurs."
Daddy- "There are know dinosaurs."
Tavian- "Uh-huh, I sod it!"
Daddy- "WHEN?"
Tavian- "On Tuesday."

Shaving Cream Fun!!!

For the past couple of weeks on Sunday evenings we have done a "special" activity with the boys. This "special" activity happened to be fun with shaving cream! The boys loved it! Tavain at first was unsure just poking his finger in it. But as you can see he went ALL out and learned to love every minute!! Adarius got really creative and asked if he could have some paint to dye the white shaving cream different colors. This was not only a fun activity but it turned out to be educatonal as well. They were excited to see that blue and red make purple. We love our boys!!

Any suggestions for any other fun activities? Anyone??
